BIO LNG FIJI PTE LTD was registered in Suva, Fiji Islands on December 1st, 2016 a company that prepared a proposal working towards reducing the carbon footprints of Fiji and the South Pacific Islands and in compliance with the 2015 Paris Summit Agreement and the Glasgow COP 26 Climate Summit.
Initially, the company will use LNG gas to start the operation of the company and reduce the carbon footprints by replacing heavy fuel oil and diesel fuel used in the power generation sector, and with the required funding, it will invest in making BIO LNG Gas in the Fiji Islands.
Followed by making hydrogen gas which is 100% renewable energy.
It is of paramount importance that we meet the targets of the 2015 Paris Summit agreement goal to limit global warming to well below 2, preferably to 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. At COP26, Nations reached new agreements for market mechanisms, essentially supporting the transfer of emissions reductions between countries while also incentivizing the private sector to invest in climate-friendly solutions.
