Mr. Khan was born, raised, and educated on the island of Levuka, Ovalau.
He migrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1986 and shortly after, started working with BC Ferries, one of the largest water transportation companies in the world.
In 2005, he was promoted to an exempt management Senior Chief Engineer position. Currently holds a certified Transport Canada Foreign Going Engineers license and has recently overseen the adaptation of outfitting LNG powered ferries and sailed in the capacity as Chief Engineer on LNG powered ferries.
Mr. Khan is a natural leader who is well-versed in cost reduction strategies, forecasting, and quality assurance related to the Energy sector. He has international LNG operating expertise. His professional experience includes work related to foreign-going chemical tankers, fast ferries, Heavy fuel oil and diesel-powered ships, and midlife upgrades to existing ships and carriers.
Mr. Khan resigned from his position as Senior Chief Engineer and presently the President and CEO of LNG Fiji Pte Ltd to pursue his dreams in the Renewable energy sector for his beloved country Fiji and the South Pacific islands and focus on the Paris 2015 Climate Change Initiatives by reducing the carbon footprints of Fiji and working towards a 100% renewable energy source with Hybrid power generations, Solar systems for homes, marine vessels and street lights.
